I love cold DRIP brew coffee!

If you like coffee, and
if you think cold brew in the market taste good, then
you will love this cold drip brew coffee!!

Cold brew, or cold water extract, refers to the process of steeping coffee grounds
in room temperature or cold water for an extended period.  (Wikipedia)

I am sure this is how the cold brew coffee made in the market.
If you like more of french press coffee, this will be perfect for you.

If the ground beans are soaked in water for a prolonged period of time,
you will taste more than what you want.
It is same as cold brew...

Because I do not like acidity, bitter, earthy and past crop taste...
Because it is not easy to get fresh professional roasted coffee...
Brewing is critical... For me!!  : )

I have pretty simple cold brew drip coffee maker to pretty fancy one.
Good news is it works the same if you take care to brew a perfect coffee.

This is my first cold brew dripper called 'Iwaki Water Drip 4 Cup
Cold Brew Dutch Coffee, Tea Maker' and it works good!

I believe...  Cold drip brewing is not only the timing...
If you want to have clean, chocolatey, well balanced with great after taste...

Please try this brewing ratio
Coffee beans : Water = 1 : 4.5

Extra tips,
1.  Tamp coffee - tamp gently to level the coffee grounds flat and even.
2.  Wet coffee - pour water about 1/2" and let it soak before start.
(This is very important!  If you don't wet the coffee grounds,
you will have one water stream line and extra light coffee...water???  : )

With this cold drip brew, you can make
1.  Hot Americano (Regular black coffee) - Cold brew coffee :  Hot water = 1 : 6
2.  Iced Americano (Regular black coffee) - Cold brew coffee :  Ice & water = 1 : 5
3.  Hot Latte - Cold brew coffee :  Steamed milk = 1 : 3
4.  Hot cappuccino - Cold brew coffee :  Steamed milk :  Frothed milk = 1: 2 : 1
5.  Affogato - Cold brew coffee :  Vanilla ice cream = 1 : 9

Takes time and most of all...  Lot of fragile stuffs to wash..
But you could enjoy and take it 'to go' anywhere you want to have your own favorite coffee!

Enjoy!
